A word about the title of this blog:
Although when spoken aloud this title may raise questions about certain … tendencies, I must apologize to some of you and admit that it is in no way an indication of my gender preference. In fact, I would expect that the content of this blog would do well to prove quite the contrary. Or would it…
At any rate, the real reason for the title is that I thought it was a neat little play on words, combining the kanji “gei” (芸) with the kanji “gai” (外) as both kanji are relevant to my character. So “Gei Guy” was born. It is merely an interesting coincidence that the pronunciation is such that it is. This homophobic homophonic similarity is completely unintentional, I assure you.
That said, what can you expect from this blog? Well, initially I intended to create a blog as a means of explaining to the world my potentially unhealthy obsession with Japanese idols and geinin (芸人) but I’ve decided that I will include other information on all things Japanese as they pertain to me. I will be providing reviews of some of my favorite Japanese music, films, PVs, TV shows and online Japanese language study resources. Specifically pertaining to idols, you will find character studies, bios, comparisons and rankings of all sorts.
All of this is somewhat in the works as I have really just begun and this *is* my first blog. But, as time marches on so will my writing and eventually we will have a fantastic little library of ramblings and musings by a person who obviously has no business blogging in the first place.

A little about me…
My biggest fear is being wrapped in cellophane and shoved headfirst into a dark tunnel or mineshaft just wide enough for me to get stuck in.
One time this chick dared me to eat a junebug and I did it. I’m not sure what that reveals about my character, but I consider it noteworthy.
Once I took a drink of Kool Aid and felt something in my mouth. I tried for a couple of minutes to fondle it with my tongue a bit and try to discern what it was. Finally, I gave up and just took it out and looked. It was a dead roach.
I kinda like that movie Starman.
I really like children, but I don’t care much for old people.
I don’t find anything particularly bizarre or creepy about midgets. Well, except for their size of course.
I’m pretty much a lazy piece of shit. But, I play guitar okay, so it kinda balances out.
I like to do magic tricks even though magic is really uncool.
I hit a dog on the freeway once and killed it. It was a medium-size dog, too. I felt really horrible about it the rest of the night. But by the next day I kinda forgot about it. Time heals all wounds.
One time I was listening to “Hana wo PU~N” and I actually heard myself say, out loud, “Man, I LOVE this song!”
I’m most interested in music (of all kinds), linguistics (musical languages, Japanese language, computer programming languages), sleight of hand/”misdirection”/illusion, and titties.
