美少女 (bishoujo) contest…
Hmmm. Maybe I’m just spoiled by idols, but the winner of the “12th National Beautiful Girl Contest” held in Tokyo yesterday seems a bit … meh. Well, to me anyway. Any other opinions out there? I guess it just goes to show the difference between Japanese and American aesthetics. Maybe it’s just a bad pic.
I will say that this young miss is definitely cute. But, I don’t see the national representative quality in her. Again, maybe I’m just spoiled by looking at the best of the best all the time.
Anyway, her name is Ayano Kudo and she’s from Miyazaki prefecture. You can check out the official Oricon site here. On the site you can see her and the 21 contestants she beat out as well.
